The 17th episode of ‘Inclusioni’ is now online

How often do we stop to reflect on how women—particularly those living in war-torn countries or under the international spotlight—are perceived and portrayed? Today, the focus shifts specifically to Ukrainian women: are they caring mothers or ruthless witches? And what is the truth behind these labels?

To explore these complex nuances, in the seventeenth episode of Inclusioni—the podcast channel of the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures at the University of Verona—we are joined by Oksana Kis. A feminist historian and anthropologist, she is the president of the Ukrainian Association for Research in Women’s History and is currently in Verona for the seminar series ЇЇ – Her: Dimensions of Ukrainian Womanhood.

The interview, conducted in English by Daniele Artoni, professor of Slavic Studies at our department, will guide us through the diverse dimensions of Ukrainian womanhood.
