The photographic exhibit “And You?” will open on Wednesday, November 13, in the central courtyard of Polo Santa Marta (Via Cantarane 24, VR). Curated by Rossella Terragnoli with photographs by Francesca Castagnini, the exhibition is an integral part of Festivabìlia 2024.
The exhibit explores the connection between affection and disability through images that encapsulate and preserve sensual situations—experienced or missed.
Real or imagined stories… Desires… Is there anything more real than something dreamed? In this project, the stories of the interviewees—who were invited to respond to a set of standardized yet adaptable questions—are accompanied and crystallized in images that capture sensual moments, regardless of whether they were lived or not. These images represent a personal vision in which the interplay between affection and disability, fantasies, and reality emerges.
Viewing these images and reading the accompanying notes will feel like submerging your face in the waters of a lake—not even charted on the map of sensuality—beneath whose surface currents, whirlpools, depths, waterfalls, secret caves, and absences stir.
The exhibit will be open for viewing until Wednesday, December 4. All Festivabìlia events, available at this link, are free of charge and fully accessible, featuring LIS (Italian Sign Language) translation and audio description.
