Between May and June 2023, the lessons for the “Introduction to LIS – Italian Sign Language Workshop” took place, organized by the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures as part of the Excellence Project “Inclusive Humanities” and taught by Professor Filippo Calcagno.
The workshop provided students with the opportunity to develop a basic understanding of issues related to interaction and communication with deaf individuals, with particular attention to linguistic, social, and cultural aspects. The knowledge acquired can be applied within university education and, looking forward, in various professional contexts, promoting inclusion processes.
